At 7:30, we headed over to one of my best friend's house--Maria, where she so graciously hosted a Bon Voyage Party in my honor. One of the most amazing things of the night---was that Maria asked everyone to bring only gluten free food. Even in my house with Scott and all the parties we had---I always prepared item after item that was filled with wheat. Celiac's disease is second nature to me, I'm used to looking at every item before I eat it, I'm used to the fact that I will never be able to go somewhere and eat whatever looks good, even in my own house. I'm not however, used to going in a room, not looking and just enjoying. It was an extra special treat, on top of everything else that Maria & my friends did for me.
Another highlight of the night was that Mom & Dad joined us at both the Shamrock and Maria's house for a bit. It really meant a lot to me to introduce them to my friends and have them in my world for a night---Thank you for coming! XOXOXO
I'm so grateful to be surrounded by an amazing group of people everyday. I'm even more grateful that I can call these people my friends, that they were for me in the worst and will be there for me in the best. If you can ever measure a life, it should be by the people they were with. I'm honored to have so many people who make my life spectacular! Thank you!
Now, I know that some of my co-workers do not like it when I post pictures...so these are what I felt would be "acceptable" to all, if they are not...I'm sure I'll hear from you later! :)
Me & the fam!
